Welcome to the ACHA Health and Well-Being Executive Leadership Section. This section is for those members concerned with the executive leadership aspects of health and well-being on campus.

The Health and Well-Being Executive Leadership Section serves as a forum for the interchange of ideas and experiences of section members while assisting members in developing professional relationships with others in their discipline.

The purposes of the Health and Well-being Executive Leadership Section are to:

  • Establish the competencies required for executive leadership in higher education, emphasizing whole-community approaches to well-being.
  • Stimulate and provide resources for individuals pursuing leadership roles, including AVP/AVC, VP/Vice Chancellor, Chief Officer, Executive Director, and Dean positions.
  • Address executive leadership’s specific knowledge and skill enhancement needs, equipping you to lead well-being initiatives confidently.
  • Serve as a forum for exchanging ideas and experiences among members, fostering collegial relationships and a strong network within the discipline.
  • Develop and recommend strategies for advancing well-being in higher education, supporting a culture of care, and strengthening the impact on students, faculty, and staff.
  • Provide educational opportunities and resources aligned with these purposes, offering workshops, seminars, and events tailored to your leadership development.
